Challenges
Client had no bookkeeping and was keeping track of their dozens of properties separately in excel. There was no system, business plan or goal structure. There were no easy to read reports or visuals to help them understand their business. They had dozens of investments and even more investors who all needed detailed reports on their investments.
The Solution
First, we created a server where we could store information and work together. Then, we put an excel together that would be our data hub. We then began reconciling and put together lists that allowed us to build their books. We created systems to make it easy and efficient for us to reconcile the books month by month. We also organized all of their documents in the server creating standardized folders making it easy to find information. Using our “hub” excel we collected all key documents and began to piece together all the parts of the client’s puzzle. Through many conversations we built a business plan and set OKR’s (goals). We then used all of the financial information we compiled to create high-level overhead and investor reports.
